IN THE SHADE OF MY TREE - a new puppy, a big shade tree, an expression of content - How does it get any better? Lost for a moment in the atmosphere of pleasure, these two bond and share a hug. I used my niece as a model to paint this moment that I have shared myself. Embraced by the love of a puppy and shaded by the coolness of pair of small trees, our world is momentarily at peace.

I like the way the diffused light comes across her body, but I am not happy with the shadowing. I should sketch out some solutions to this problem. Maybe an adjustment of color will correct this.
