CHEVY - I remember the first time I learned that I could simulate metal. The painting was not very good. But, I was so elated that I could make metal tones out of normal paint and I did not have to try to use metallic pigments. It still amazes me that black and white pigment make something glow like metal. I still have to teach my eyes to understand what they are seeing. Here is my salute to shiny metal. Hard to beat a restored Chevy. Many times I wish I had one. I now am content to paint one. Maybe I will try a T-Shirt. I have been playing with sublimation inks lately and they would be a perfect medium for the TShirt. I really like how the windshield came out and it plays off the body paint. I obscured the driver windows the same way the Frank Romero obscured his windows in the downtown LA mural. He once told me that the local gang members considered the drivers in his mural painting aurhority figures and they spray painted them out. I guess it is a kind of challenge. He cooperated with their efforts and let them spray out all but the lead car. It stands this way today. So you will have to put your own mind's image in the car yourself. Posted by Hello
