BEACH AT PISMO- oil painting. I like the use of broad strokes and briht colors. Muting them slightly by blending in the brush and on the canvas. Glowing light intigues me. Impressionistic with overtones of realism. I like painterly and find myself returning to this style often. A mixture of texture and edges gives me satisfaction. I like to see brushstrokes and I love the happy accidents that occur when blending.

We recently had several earthquakes and threats of Tsunamis. This piece calms me down and frees me from the anxiety of it all. The news said we had a 1 cm. tsunami. Now that is my kind of tsunami.
