After experiencing the Circus V, I could not wait to express what I had seen, felt, heard, and imagined. This is my rendition of that experience. Pastel on Velum. Wonderful contrasts and harmonies - ALL at the same time.

Track my ART works and interact with an ART experience. Paki explores a variety of media to find a more complete expression. SAY IT WITH PAINT. ACRYLIC, OIL, PASTEL, PENCIL, WATERCOLOR, DIGITAL.

This is a very interesting piece- so much going on! I'll need to really study it some- it's one of those pieces you keep seeing something new in, I think.
I've asked that this be moved to the soft pastel studio- that way, even more people can see and comment on this intriguing work.

PAKI - when I had the opportunity to go to one of the Cirque de Solei shows, it blew my mind that so much went on all at once and wondered if anyone could capture the magic. Great job! Kat

wow - you are inspiring!!! I'm very curious if you would honor us with some close ups of the figures in the piece. I feel like I'm only able to see glimpses of them and they are just drawing me in for a closer look.
Love the movement you've created with this subject matter. Did you have to have circus music playing in the background in order to paint it?

Wow! Very well done. You would think it would have a discordant feel, but you have pulled off the "hustle and bustle" very well.

Inspired by constant movement, sounds, and lights, glorious lighting..... I put down my impressions of the human circus. So much going on at one time. It burned impressions in my mind that just keep resonating. Pastel on Velum

Julie- Thank you for recommending a change of venue. I have included some closeups. I hope they allow you to examine it more closely.
Kat- Thank you for the kind words. I love sharing the experience with others, especially those that experienced some of the same things that I did. There is almost a kindred spirit with those who have been there.
bill - Wow, is how I feel as well, from this experience. I am glad I took the time to put some of it down.
Barb- Thank you for your kindness. I have included some close-ups. I hope they allow you to move in a little. During the show, I had the same reaction....I wanted to get closer to what was going on. The only music I had playing was the music memories in my head. It is still there....moving from scene to scene. The most amazing part of all of this, is that in my mind's-eye, I can see (and hear) so many "lost and found" edges; both light and sound.

Oh I'm so glad you included close ups - it really allows us to see so much more.
Paki - I'm still curious what size the entire piece is painted at. Barb

This is very inspiring --your sense of detail and color is amazing to me--very dramatic. The piece grabs my attention..Great work...Thank You Tom

10x13 makes it even more impressive to know you managed all that in such a small space!
